I and my family, along with each of our more than 72 co-workers, join together to wish all of our past, current and future guests a very safe, happy and prosperous New Year. 2011 is the 25^th anniversary of Yap Divers and I am very proud of this achievement.  Not a lot of dive operations have been owned and operated by the same person for 25 years.  Many of our staff have been with us for almost this entire time and that too is a fact I am quite proud of. We have gone from a shop with one 24 foot dive boat and a stated goal of wanting 3 divers per week to a shop that is completely integrated with the Manta Ray Bay Resort and now boasts 8 dive boats, a state of the art dive shop and an unparalleled reputation among Pacific dive operations.     We have endured 2 major typhoons in Mitag and Sudal, 2 world health scares in the Asian Bird Flu and the Swine Flu, a major world economic crises and the loss of over ½ of our air connections yet we are still considered the “gem of Micronesian diving”.  This is a result of a lot of hard work from our staff, a location with clear water and big animals, our commitment to continuing to find new dive sites and critters as well as a lot of support from our past guests. For all of this, I thank you and wish you happy and safe diving for 2011 and I invite you to join us for the yearlong celebration of our Silver Anniversary.
