Ocean View Room at Sunrise

Resort Accommodations

The Manta Ray Bay Resort is a full-service dive resort, designed by divers and built for divers. Each of our uniquely themed rooms offer air conditioning, refrigerators (upon request), IDD telephone, Internet Access and in-room TV and DVD player.

Our Resort has all of the services and conveniences for divers and non-divers alike. Take a dip in the infinity pool and soak up some Micronesian sun. Enjoy a relaxing massage at the Taro Leaf Spa. Savor the delicious cuisine onboard the Mnuw at the Manta Ray Bistro. Grab a pint from our on-site brewery, Stone Money Brewing Company, at the Crow’s Nest Bar.

We have often been called “The Best Little Dive Resort in the Pacific”.

Built with divers in mind…

The Resort was built with divers in mind. All of the dive facilities and equipment storage are conveniently located within steps of the Resort. Yap Divers, located on the premises, offers a full service dive shop, all levels of instruction, Mares & Oceanic rental equipment, morning and afternoon two tank dives to either the Manta sites or the reefs and walls. A number of specialty dives are also offered on a daily basis – Mandarin Fish, Macro, Shark Feed and night dives. NITROX is also available for all dives.

Plenty more to see and do…

We also offer world class fishing with Yap Anglers, and an opportunity to explore the wildlife and nature by kayaking with Yap’s Planet Blue Kayak Tours. We also offer a full range of island tours specifically designed to showcase Yap’s unique indigenous culture.

The Mnuw: The Most Unique Restaurant and Bar in Micronesia

The Manta Ray Bistro, the Island’s finest restaurant with a great view of the lagoon, is located on the main deck of the S/V Mnuw, our turn of the century South Seas Schooner.

Our guests can also enjoy our very own micro brewed beer or a refreshing tropical drink in either the Nautical Weaver Bar located on the Bridge Deck of the Mnuw or in the Crow’s Nest Bar located on the top deck under the mizzen mast.

We stayed at the hotel and dove with Manta Ray divers in early December 2017. The hotel is very comfortable, well run and staffed with wonderful employees. During our visit my wife came down with an illness and the consideration and support from the hotel and dive staff could not have been better.read more

The best place to stay in Yap. The resort is really nice and clean, the scuba diving is great, and the docked ship that houses the bar, restaurant, and movie screen is very cool. I really enjoyed my stay here.read more

The whole place centers around the scuba diving operation. Probably better to find somewhere else if you're not a diver. The dive operation was generally good, but a little too laid back - schedules weren't always clear, and sometimes would change without any notice. Sometimes it was hard to tell if this was really because of changing tides/weather or because of the island pace of life. Pizza is a surprisingly good option at the restaurant.read more
