Had a FANTASTIC trip. I am so glad I got to be there & see the beautiful sights that Bruce had always talked about, from his previous trips. The staff was phenomenal: attentive, & polite & accommodating. The room was spectacular, i never have stayed in such a luxurious room. The dining was good, enjoyed the ship restaurant. Good breakfasts.
I can not tell you what a great trip it was- oh I guess I did.

First, we enjoyed every minute while staying at your beautiful hotel. Everything is so perfectly thought through to give guests and divers the most convenient holiday.
Having our own open air whirlpool with great bay view was almost too much. The Yap divers did a great job and were allways open to our wishes about what we would like to see or which spot we would like to dive. The Mnew and Detlef were amazing and the hole staff was allways very friendly and helpful. (thanx for the coockies on valentine's).
We loved beeing with the Mantas and the blacktips. on our last dive, Wilie (male adult manta) spent 20 minutes with us circeling above our heads. for us, it couldn't have been better. (Now, if there is one thing... just to make diving more comfy... some kind of toilets on board would have been the sweetest cherry on the cupcake)
We thank everyone for making our stay truely unique.

My wife Naomi and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary and I was in between jobs. We had talked about visiting Yap for years. I’m so pleased we could do it. I’m very impressed with what you have built there. Attention to detail was everywhere.

We loved the Mnuw. Also, being a hobby woodworker myself I was more than impressed with the workmanship and the mahogany furnishings in our room.

I want to say we fell in love with the people of Yap. Everyone we met were very gracious and polite. I hope we can return someday.

It was a pleasure staying at the Manta Ray Resort. I had a fantastic time. The best part was the people of Yap. They are very warm and friendly. Your dive crew was great. I do not dive, but snorkel. I had the opportunity to swim with Manta Ray, Eagle Ray, black tip sharks, turtle and star fish. They know the waters like the back of their hands. The food is wonderful at the hotel.

We had the absolute best time at your place. A+ in all aspects. Diving, the guides, boats, food, room....ALL of your help is fantastic...every person we met was wonderful!!! I know we should be able to find something to be critical of but I think we will be back again next year in search of it!!!!

I've been to several places in the world - especially for diving - and I'll see some more.

Hi Bill, We have just arrived back in Scotland after our stay with you at Manta Ray Bay. The accommodation was very comfortable; the facilities well thought out; the diving (and for Christine snorkelling trips) was very well organized, and the staff were superb. It really was like being one of the family. I'd like to thank you and Patricia for diving with me; Jan for the great job he does organizing the dive team; and the dive boys who were quite simply superb. Josie was really attentive to my special dietary needs and nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant staff. Also Sammir for the airport shuttles in the middle of the night. Dear Bill, Just a quick note to thank you for the great time both Piet and I had at Manta Ray Bay Hotel. We enjoyed the hotel, the pool and off course the diving. Jan and his team went out of their way to show off the best dives Yap has to offer. I know we will talk about our near perfect dive at Yap Caverns for years to come. With the sunlight dancing through the caverns, great vis, powder white sand patches, lots of shells (dead and alive), fish, morays and more............ it was an awesome dive. I also highly recommend the Yellow Wall, I guess we were lucky that conditions was perfect on this dive! Just enough current for the corals to be feeding, loads of fish, perfect vis....... what more could we ask for.

And for the delicious banana milk shake, of course. ;-) I really enjoyed my stay with you: the lovely decorated rooms, the fantastic food and the funny evenings on the Mnuw, the delicious beer (and, yes, it's a Bavarian saying that ;-) and the fantastic dives. I always dreamed of seeing mantas, but I never thought it would be as touching as it finally was. Unbelievable!! As you know, I spent two more weeks in Palau after Yap. I had a great time there, the Rock Islands are fantastic and the dives amazing. However, although the dive guides themselves are doing a good job, Palau is much more commercial than Yap... You knew that you were one number out of many, whereas at Manta Ray Bay you felt at home immediately. You really manage to give every guest the feeling that he/she is unique and warmly welcome, and the heartiness at your resort makes the holidays very special. Please say hello to your team, especially to Jan, Detlef, Joyce and Chomed & Henry! As I wrote in my report to Undercurrent.org, it is one of the finest resort we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot. Your staff is awesome and really make you feel welcome. Jan runs a very efficient dive operation and all of the divemasters we encountered were very helpful and safety conscious. Joce is the best waitress in the world! I also have to thank you for setting up my blood test at the hospital and, again, everyone I encountered at the hospital was very friendly and competent. Good morning Bill, How amazing to hear from you. Our visit to Yap was undoubtedly a highlight of our diving career and certainly as far as the Pacific is concerned. Hi Bill, Sometimes it takes a little bit longer things to handle – so it was with the great stay at the Manta Ray Bay hotel. Although we are traveling a lot – it was a very unique experience for us. We enjoyed the amazing dives – especially Vertigo, Alex Alleys and Yap Cavern - as well as the nice rooms, your great staff, the food in your ship restaurant – and of course the beer of the Stone Money brewing company. Dear Bill & Patricia, Vikki and I want to congratulate you on the Taro Leaf Spa. The design and construction are wonderful and the garden, waterfalls and soothing music all provide the right setting for relaxation. We have had massages at various spas all over the world. Hundreds of them and none have been better than what we just received from your people. Patricia, you have trained the ladies very well. Their movements were in sync with each other almost to the second, ( couldn’t help but look over at Vikki from time to time as we were having our double massage), and the pressure, the stretching movements, the locally made coconut oil all combined to make this a truly wonderful experience. No guest should ever leave Yap without at least one session at your facility. Thank you.

We had a fantastic time at the Manta Ray Bay last month. We enjoyed all our dives, especially being able to dive with Bill and Patricia. It was great of Patricia to "hang out" with me around 30 feet while I conserved my air so I could stay with the group instead of sitting in the boat while the surface was so choppy. I had worried about my recent back surgery making diving difficult, but the willingness of the crew to help me with my gear in the water made it possible to dive with very little pain.

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU for all the fun we had bringing the group to Yap. You certainly took great care of us and we soooo enjoyed the entire experience. The rooms were awesome, the hospitality as wonderful as always and the “fill in” Cabana Boy a big hit. I knew I could count on the Manta Ray Bay and Yap Divers for the best, but even the weather cooperated! Guess I’m a bit compulsive in logging my dives, but as you noticed it became easier over a Manta Shake while relaxing on the Mnuw. All will have fond memories to cherish. Actually seeing that Trident Trumpets DO eat crown of thorns was a high light for me. Guess it doesn’t take much. The Manta Ray Bay was a gorgeous resort and we had so much fun visiting! I really enjoyed the people that worked there, the visibility was fabulous, and the staff some of the friendliest. I am very thankful for your help in making one of our dive trips to the Micronesia area some of the best diving that weve ever had. Thanks again! P.S. Alex was fabulous!!!
