Tim Brockett

Born September 16th, 1966, in Buffalo, New York, and a resident of Detroit, Tim has lived his entire life within an hour's drive of either the Great Lakes or the open ocean. "Water, rust and gasoline are in my blood," he quips.

A graduate of Oakland University with a Bachelor of Music degree, Tim has been making music for a living since the ripe old age of thirteen. Though lately he has focused on solo work, including a lengthy engagement at the Ginza Crest Club in Tokyo, Japan, Tim has worked with countless popular acts, including Martha and the Vandellas, Little Eva, Leslie Gore, Jack Jones, Shirley Jones, Phyllis Diller and Matt "Guitar" Murphy.

Having travelled extensively throughout North America and Europe, Tim is no stranger to life on the road. "One day I'm flying to Amsterdam to play for sixty minutes, and the next day I'm sitting on a curb for twelve hours in Podunk, Iowa, waiting for a throttle position sensor to be trucked in from Des Moines."

Whether fishing the chilly waters of Northern Ontario or hiking through the sweltering heat and humidity of Japan in August, Tim enjoys his appetite for adventure. This is Tim's first trip to Yap, and he anticipates it being an unforgettable experience. "I look forward to cultivating friendships with the wonderful people at the Manta Ray and entertaining her guests. I'll see you at the party!".
