The Yapese public will get their first close-up experience aboard the S/V Mnuw (Sea Hawk) this Friday, December 28th. The main dining room, the Nautical Weaver Bar, the Crow's Nest Bar and a small portion of the kitchen will be open for business. Still to come are the micro brewery, the Maagarag Lounge under the skylight, the storage area and the Internet Cafi.

Friday's festivities will begin with guided tours starting at 9:00 AM and running every 15 minutes until 2:00 PM. Everyone on Yap is invited.

A VIP reception will be held from 3 PM until 5 PM hosted by Bill Acker and his family. Attendance to this event is by invitation only.

At 5:00 PM, the dignitaries will move to the bow of the vessel and offer a cannon salute to Yap signaling that the ship is open to the public. Patricia Mangthin Acker will then crack a bottle of the cheapest booze we can find (wouldn't want to waste anything drinkable) to christen the ship and officially welcome her to her new home at the Manta Ray Bay Hotel.

Happy Hour prices will be the order of the night from 6:00 PM until closing. Music will be provided by Mr. Henry Norman for both the VIP reception and the public opening. Everyone in Yap is invited to tour the ship in the morning and then join us for a fun filled evening.
