Elizabeth was born in Yap on the 9th of August 1987 and graduated Yap High School in 2005. She then attended Palau Community College for a year before coming home and enrolling in the Community College of Micronesia, Yap Campus, where she studied Accounting. Elizabeth is less than 1 semester from her degree and has plans to finish soon. Other than part time work in her village store, the Manta Ray Bay Resort is Elizabeth's first job. We are the lucky ones in that deal and will support her as she gets her degree and hopefully continues working with us.
Quote: "I sometimes think I am not the typical Yapese for I actually enjoy dealing with foreign guests. Most Yapese are shy and speaking with outsiders isn't natural to them but I find it easy and rewarding to meet and speak with guests. Helping people is a large part of my job and the part that gives me the most satisfaction."

This is a wonderful island, with a tremendous traditional culture, excellent diving and the resort is first class in every way. I am proud to be Micronesian, proud to work here and proud to help our guests enjoy their visit. I just wish more people would visit us. I know they would go home happy."
