The up scale Dive Resort, “Manta Ray” on the beautiful Island of Yap is seeking a qualified Chief Cook.
- The position would require an individual that would be versatile, able to work with local produce and be able to prepare fresh local fish for discriminating guests.
- The ideal person would be able to prepare creative meals that would ensure return diners.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to manage all aspects of a professional kitchen and staff. Duties will include preparing menus, costing, ordering and staffing.
- Baking skills are a plus as would a creative touch on the desert menu.
- On occasion their will be the need to prepare special menus for large in-house groups.
This is a great opportunity for an up and coming Chef who wants to make a mark in the culinary business.
Salary would be commensurate with experience. Yap has a lucrative tax structure that a resident of Hawaii would find very appealing.
Food, housing and utilities would be provided by the resort.
This is a one year contract with an option to renew.
